Description: Sarmagh had been condensed into one single woman; one redheaded, green eyed, brogue-bearing, outdoors loving lush. One would never guess that the Alexstons' latest asset bore any fondness for nature or animals in the slightest; in fact, either could be true at any given moment, depending on her mood. The words, 'My, don't you look like your mother' were murder to Carrigan's ears - living in Mereavus' shadow had made for assumptions she was not quite prepared to bear. She was, however, a paragon of poise and bore herself with regal self-assertion, and the judgements of her similarity were both highly true, and eminently untrue in equal doses.

Character Background: Carrigan was born the sixth child to Samuel and Mereavus Alexston well into the civil war, and though no child of theirs ever escaped their mother's scrutiny over such things as etiquette, posture and when exactly one should drop truths, she was one of the few who managed to escape early. Her father noticed her skill as an equestrian when she was only eight, and bartered a scholarship in Endarion (the westernmost city of Sarmagh) in the best livery in the county. She left Aingarth at ten, and afterwards saw her parents and siblings twice a year when the time came for festivities. As a result, she never really developed the same bond with her siblings and parents as they seemed to forge with one another, and instead turned to what few people she called family in Endarion. The further result was in her becoming more and more like a genuine Sarmagh Lady as opposed to her parents' nativity to Dulfwyn. She developed the accent (of which the modern equivalent is Southern Irish) and the taste for good alcohol, the ethic of working hard and playing harder, the general enjoyment of life and a rather more laid back demeanor than her mother or elder siblings.

Her career in horses has led her to become one of the better known Equestrians in Sarmagh, and she personally bred William's war charger and Mereavus' last acquisition, Peril. She recently managed to breed herself a very handsome copper roan mare. She, like most in Sarmagh, developed a perfectionist nature in her work and demanded the highest results. She was never the kindest apprentice to the animals, but her endgame was always far and above the usual standard. She has never married nor shown much particular interest in doing so, like the majority of women in her family.

With the recent death of her parents, Carrigan made the journey to Aingarth to attend their funeral, where her brother informed her that she would be taking up residence in Valwyn so that he could find her an appropriate husband. She appears to have consented quite willingly, though has yet to actually answer his summons with her presence. She remains in Endarion until she deems it appropriate to attend court with her brother and Queen sister.
