My favorite recipe is:
Russian Stirfry
You can find most of the things you need for this recipe at your local Russian or Polish grocery or deli if you prefer to be perfectly authentic, but you can also find everything you rely need at your local grocery store.
IngredientsRed cabbage cut into thin strips
(1) Onion (julienne sliced)
Garlic, fresh, pre-minced, paste, the choice is your's.
Butter
Polska kielbasa, Hunter's sausage or any sausage you fancy. (Coined)
Pierogis, Mrs. T's works well if you don't like making your own. Any flavor will do. I prefer a mix of traditional and mushroom.
1) In large pot, boil pierogis until they float. This means their ready to fry. Set aside.
2) Brown sausage in large Wok, (Or blacken kielbasa), onion and garlic.
3) Add butter, I usually add about 1/4 of a stick, and drained pierogis.
4) Fry until deliciously golden.
5)Wilt red cabbage.
6) Stir and serve!
**Warning, may cause spontanious heart attack.**
