Description :

The years had passed, and the once delicate princess was now a regal woman. Frequent childbirth had thickened her frame inexorably, but even that weight left her curved rather than stout. Fine wrinkles crept in around her mouth and pale eyes, skin not quite so smooth though certainly just as freckled as it had always been. Her hair too had never faded from the brilliant red, the threads of silver that occasionally appeared plucked from the mass. Solemnity garbed her in these later years, her smile rare and rarer yet for it to light her eyes fully. Like an apparition, she went through the motions of living untouched and untouchable, or so she hoped. Grief had wrung it from her, and though events conspired to return her to public life, perhaps peace waited not too far distant.
