General rules

All characters must be accepted before they can RP! This is to make sure all characters fit the setting and storyline and to maintain a proper balance of characters. Management may occasionally approve cameo characters without applications.
This is a closed RP. If your character goes to non-Nharati dreams and interacts with other people, the events that happen there do not exist in the Nharati storyline.
Post in past tense.
Members must register and be active in the forum. (You only need one forum account, not one for each character.)
Keep OOC chatter to a minimum outside the OOC room and be considerate of other players.
Remember that IC actions do not (and should not) reflect OOC interactions.
Players must be 18 years old or older. This is an M16+ map due to both OOC and IC content such as language, violent and sexual themes.
You may play alts (characters must be approved). In fact, we strongly encourage this because...
Many characters will die. By applying, you consent to this. (Please read the note on consent.) If one of your characters dies, you may play it as a ghost.

Character Guidelines

All characters must be human and native to Nharati unless previously approved by management. Nharati is a xenophobic culture and thus reflected in the character population. (We will be having Others and some foreigners in the story, but these roles are very specific and should be discussed first.)
Magic is by approval only. Any characters known to possess magic will considered Other and thus must face the intolerance of the Nharati people. Very few characters will have any arcane abilities.
All players should have at least one noble character. Knights are nobles. Additionally, most nobles will have some other role they fill such as healer, advisor, bard, librarian, member of the King's council, lady-in-waiting, etc. Please see character openings for specifics. (This may change with the needs of the story.)
Knights must be male (please, no women in disguise). Armour should be 11th to 12th century style: chain and plate mix, no full plate.
Ealdormen and Thegns must also be male, as the society is strongly patriarchal, and women hold no ruling power. Noblewomen will be from the families of Ealdormen and Thegns.
During this opening portion, you need to chose whether your character will side with Tyltin or Drysllthen.
No guards or servants. These will be NPCed unless there is a specific role that needs to be filled, and even then, they should not be your main character.
Lower class folk will be mainly in the town, but these alts should wait until we have a sufficient court.
Players are encouraged to play both male and female characters. (In other words, you don't have to keep to OOC gender.)

Attendance & Participation

Please notify us of any extended absences, preferably via the forum.
Please RSVP for major events in their respective forum threads, and please make an effort to attend them.
Active players should provide updates to their characters' threads on the forum at least once a week.
