Terms of Surrender of Valwyn Castle
1. The following women of the Esdale family will become wards of the Valenti family until such time as marriages befitting their stations can be arranged personally by King Drysllthen Valenti:
- Queen Rachelle Esdale (Raegnold's current wife)
- Princess Sorynn Esdale (Raegnold's daughter)
- Princess Lark Esdale (Raegnold's daughter)
- Princess Quess Esdale (Raegnold's daughter)
2. All retainers to his Majesty Raegnold Esdale are hereby commanded to surrender to his Majesty Drysllthen Valenti, including household servants, and all current garrison at Valwyn Castle. They will be given two options:
- Give a pledge of loyalty to House Valenti, to be reassigned to duties of King Drysllthen Valenti's choice.
- Agree to disarming and exile in a land of his Majesty Drysllthen Valenti's choice. No material possessions which cannot be carried on ones' person (no weapons of any sort will be permitted) are to be retained by those who choose exile. Prior to leaving, oaths will be taken by all exiles never again to act against house Valenti or its allies.
Penalty for oathbreaking and refusing to surrender is death.
3. His Majesty Raegnold Esdale has three days to clear the castle of all danger to Valenti forces. At the end of this time period, he will surrender personally to King Drysllthen Valenti. Raegnold Esdale's seal is pressed into the bottom of the parchment, lending his consent to all agreements outlined above.
The rolled parchment is delivered under a red flag to Drysllthen's hands the morning following negotiations.
