The note, it's seal still drying, appeared in the chambers of both the eldest ladies and the very youngest, at court. It was the same thing, a half forgotten seal pressed into brilliant, red wax. In fact, it hadn't been seen for some time, and it was never the bearer of good news.

After all, the last thing it'd delivered had been the notice of it's lord's death.

How fitting it should come on this day, when the sun refused to shine and the fog lingered well past noon, only to return thicker and heavier with the evening's dull, orange, light. Arron Camsmyth's mantle, accompanying his wife's pacing footsteps down the never ending corridors of the castle.

Eerie, the note arriving in the hands of the Lady Camsmyth's only servant.

Tilda Weaver had been servant to the Lady Camsmyth since the ill-fated wedding of the murderous pair and as she'd predicted, no good had ever come of it.
She wasn't a tall woman, nor was she particularly small. It helped her blend seamlessly with the cold, stone walls of the castle. Lank, brown, hair hung in her eyes like dead weeds, her dresses about as old as her Lady's, the drab colors of late fall which seemed to pick up the dull hues of the servant's passage ways.

Invisible.

Completely, invisible.

Calloused hands turned the note over and over as she waited for the voices to slip into silence in the chamber. Who's chamber? The last one, the most important one: The Lady Maelyss. God only knew what Greer was thinking, as far as Tilda had seen, the Maelyss woman was the worst choice she could have possibly made. Then again, Greer wasn't known for making the best of choices and it wasn't Tilda's job to judge. At all for that matter.

The creak of the door, receding footsteps and the note, found it's home on the Lady's vanity. Withen it's folds lay a message in burgundy ink.

Dearest Lady,

It has come to my attention that her highness, the Princess, Maeryn Wenfrith is in the process of making our castle's dated solar livable once more. It is with humblest intent, that I implore, your good taste, company and assistance in this, such noble undertaking. I have reason to believe, your worldly experience, knowledge and humor would be of particular interest to the young Princess.
Regards,
Lady Greer Elizabete Camsmyth
