Description:

Slightly paler of skin than many of his male siblings, his hands calloused only by the near-everpresent quill he bore on his person, Julian saw the sun mainly through thick windows when he bothered looking up at all. Lithe of frame, he stood well below many of his brethren, that last growth somehow elusive. Slender muscles only began taking their more masculine shape, and even now his lip sported the merest hint of dust. Ebony hair unfashionably long curled to his elbows. Fine clothing was cut for comfort as much as station, with trailing sleeves and long tunics forming the norm of his ensemble. Sharp green eyes never stopped moving even when his tongue was still.

Character Background:

He and his twin Naiia were the last born children of Samuel and Mereavus Alexston, and while the others tended to fall into Mother's care, the twins were Father's. Hunting, tracking, riding...Julian learned it all with Naiia by his side, for she was his other half and they would not be parted. As children, their companionship was constant, the pair communicating in their own language that not even their siblings or parents had learned to decipher.

But there was one area in which the pair diverged early, Julian lacking Naiia's fascination for the mews, so it was that he learned the craft of scribing, rather than merely scribbling his name or a few simple commands, without his sister. He insisted she learn her letters at least well enough to correspond, and when he went away to the academy their letters often ran long, rich with detail. Through them he learned of their siblings' departures and even the death of their parents. Once reunited with his twin, he's vowed not to part with her for the forseeable future and should be a regular fixture in Valys.
