Smooth blonde hair fell to his ears, the cut leaving it longer in the back while the clean-shaven countenance beneath it brimmed with the hope and ideals of youth. Sky blue eyes bore the fervor to serve country and church, and about his neck hung the flint of the devout. Years of training had built the lad a fluidly muscled frame, Godraed with a more lean build than most the brutes in armour.


Character Background:

Born the second son to a minor Thegn in voilatile Karmenys, he learned from an early age the skills necessary for knighthood. At seven, he became a page to one of his Father's sworn men, the boy showing enough aptitude that he was elevated early to the rank of squire at the age of twelve. But with Karmenys staying back of the civil war that tore Nharati, Godraed's only true experience was in minor squirmishes among the thegns of Karmenys. Now the conflict has turned inward to Karmenys with the rest of the country united under King Drysllthen, a few claiming they should swear to the new King while the Ealdorman of the county steadfastly refused.

Among those few was Godraed who was on the verge of taking his oaths of knighthood. Unwilling to swear to a lord he viewed as disloyal, he departed Karmenys for Valwyn where he would make his oathes to the King or to a lord loyal to him as was only right.
