Description:

Light flecks of green peered from a young, freckled face. The mop of deep orange hair and beardless jaw gave this Prince a deceptive innocence and placidity, and his ready smile often hid the brutality running through his veins. Nearly always clad simply, he nevertheless wore the rich colours of his House. Tyltin lacked the legendary height of his forefathers, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with many of his peers. A long sword often decorated his hip, putting lie to his harmless appearance, and his reputation upon the field of battle often preceded him, making most attempts at subtlety moot.

Character Background:

Tyltin was born to Danele and Wyldrigrenkledrysllthen in the previous storyline. His mother ran away with him when he was a few weeks old, but she was forcibly returned by Ulrika Kergard; King Wyldrigrenkledrysllthen then placed the infant Tyltin under the care of Emersyn von Pith and her son, Alric von Pith. He grew up unaware of his parents or the danger he was in.

When Emersyn died a few years later, Alric sent the boy to be raised in the care of his marshals. The Prince grew up on campaign, variously in exercises or actual battles. Alric used Tyltin to claim regency over the whole of Nharati, and attempted to fight to press this claim.

Tyltin got his first taste for blood when he was 11 years old, and his first injury a year later. Soon after he decided to stop wearing shields or armor, as they slowed him down far too much for his tastes. Thus his torso is riddled with normally unseen scars from many close calls with swords, axes, arrows, spears, and other deadly weapons wielded against him over the years.

When Tyltin was 16 and Alric was no closer to becoming regent, the Prince killed his care-giver to pre-empt an expected assassination attempt. He was quite open about his action and the reasons for it, and over the next half-dozen years fought to secure his position in the North of Nharati. Now he holds claim to Tsgerl, Zsongrill, and Hnestor as more-or-less his own petty kingdom, but his eyes inexorably turn toward Dulfwyn...and beyond.
