Description:
Age had begun to hunch him slightly, but it had not dimmed his curious black eyes. Silvered hair hung straight and loose past his shoulders while he wore the simple linen garb of a Laskaris councilman, the purple of his house only in the small rim of embroidery at the neck. He was a small man, finely featured with a slender build and a gentleness of face, certain of the goodness that inhabited all. Time and circumstances had not jaded him, the councillor approaching the world with a genuine smile.

Character Background:

He'd seen the power in Nharati wax and wan in one lifetime, and now it was waxing again. Like a great fist it loomed above them, and he'd waited, in younger years, for King Wyldrigrenkledrysllthen's fist to fall upon them....and now his namesake had the throne. Stories muddled over the distance, Drysllthen and Tyltin merging into one terrifying conquering figure. It had left the council in a state, certain that Nharati would turn its eye westward onto them, the land with little military might. Visions of torched libraries and crushed statues hung in every mind. Everyone knew the Nharatese were barbarians.

Petros had been the calming voice in the council while others flailed in terror, eventually persuading the other members to send him as envoy to Nharati with his youngest daughter. Perhaps a marriage arranged with one of their ranking men could allay fears and could seal agreements of peace.
