| {Insert silver eyes here. Temporary ref until I draw him, not my picture. Anyone feel like manipping this fellow for me?} Character information Full Character Name: Christoph-Leopold Benedict von Pith Tsalklond Furcadia Name: Christoph Leopold Desired Role: Scholar Gender: Male Age: 22 Height: 5'5" Build: Slim, nearly scrawny but without as much "boneyness" Eye Color: Silvery blue, the color of the sky before a storm Hair Color: Black
Description: A young man appearing barely out of his twenties with pastey skin proof of his aversion to prolonged sun exposure. His eyes were a tumultuous silver reminding one of a sky, gray and stormy before a gale. Sharp features cast sallow shadows under his cheek bones and brow. His less than average height was countered byhis gaunt and lanky build, accented always by a long, rich ebony leather cloak. Usually he wore muted tones, his favorite gray-brown slacks and dark brown boots often worn. To top off this lad's look, he sported shoulder-length shrouds of oily black hair that frequently fell limply over his eyes. High, arching eyebrows give a constant expression of arrogance, which in fact is not far from the truth.
Personality: Christoph is not usually an ass about it, however, he keeps his high opinion of his brain to himself. In fact, one of the reasons why this is is because he has an extremely negative self-image; he thinks he is the most attrocious appearing human to ever live. Ever. If he points out how smart he is, he is afraid others will point out how awful he looks. This insecurity is not divulged to meager aquaintances, nor is it obvious even if you're friends with him. He must basically tell you out right.
His goal in life is to mainly gain as much knowledge as he can before he dies, and read all the books in the world. There for an extensive knowledge of languages far and wide, although far above average already, is a huge ambition of his. One of the drawbacks of being so high up in his positio, is he is forced to cement his own line into the future, wether it be with notoriety, or in blood. Unfortunately, since he views himself as repulsive his confidence with women is... lacking.
Character Background: From birth, the skinny lad avoided most physical activity. Despite his father urging him to take up swordsmanship, horse-back riding, and other 'masculine' things, Christoph prefferred his books; anything worth learning was far more worth his time then sweating outside all day, getting blisters from wooden spar weapons, and burning his sensitive skin.
When he was fourteen, he was sent away to a school to improve his manners as well as further his path of knowledge. He returned somewhat more refined in personality, but because the college had had no mandatory physical activities, his body had become frail, his eyes and skin sensitive to bright light.
When he came home, his father proceeded to try every trick in the book to get the boy outside, but the only time he would budge was if he could simply sit under a tree and read. Even girls held little interest to Christoph until much later.
At his wit's end, and after years of battle, his father has given up and sent him away once more so that he might learn the errors of his bookish, hermit ways. Now twenty-two, and not following in his burly brothers' footsteps in the slightest, he continues to avoid physical strain as if it were a plague, but will do anything in his power to read yet unknown books and learn languages so thathe might read even more. But because of his father's constant belittling, comparing him to his two older brothers in every negative way possible, he still avoids women as well. Without the proper social skills to deal with the female gender, nor the confidence to even try, he remains a bookish, scrawny, sour little man. | |
