Royal Decrees/Decisions

This is the thread where the King's decrees and judgments will be made public. Most recent and/or most important will be placed at the top of the list, while older or redundant declarations may be deleted, so keep checking back!

Pronouncements (generally known):

-The servant Ys has been officially thanked for rescuing Princess Synaria and granted a Royal pension, payable after he attains the age of fifty years unto his death. Until that time he is to resume any and all duties the Crown requires of him. His request to take more personal care of Synaria has been denied.

-All the Princesses now have armed, uniformed guards tasked with ensuring their safety at all times. Any injury that befalls the Princesses without first befalling the guards will result in the death penalty for treason on the part of the guards. The Princesses are all expressly forbidden to roam outside the castle's walls after nightfall without prior permission of the King himself.

-The Church of Nharati has been tasked with leading the charge of heresy against the religious extremists responsible for kidnapping Princess Synaria, as well as other fundamentalist sects. Anyone found guilty of belonging to any faith other than the Church of Nharati is to be burned at the stake; a confession will earn them a clean hanging first.

-A feast is to be held upon return of Crown Prince Uhtred Valenti, to be attended by all nobles currently residing in the castle.

-The so-called Quiet Priest is to be confined in the dungeons for the present, until any and all information may be extracted via confession before a penalty of death is executed.

Prerogatives (not generally known):

-The jester Endyme Ian has fallen under suspicion of espionage, and his movements are being monitored discretely by Royal agents disguised as peasants and other servants. Any evidence of sedition will be swiftly acted upon.

-All the Princesses are under the watchful eye of several peasant-clad Royal Agents, who are charged with guarding them as surely as if they wore the emblems of Nharati, with the same punishments for failure.
