The manhunt had been called. Or in this case, womanhunt. Horns blazed, calling the men to their duty. Each Lieutenant was delivered his men's missive. Capture and detain the Lady Alexi Dunmir. No reason was given, only a description of the woman in question. This was passed down to all the guards, who were promptly set into action.
Each exit to the castle was sealed by a line of sword bearing, armor plated men.Several groups were sent to search the interior. One group to a floor, then splitting to scour each hallway and passage. Even so far as to politely knock upon doors to search each individual room. From the wine cellars and dungeon, all the way to the peak of the towers was checked.
Outdoors, more groups paced the grounds, checking every nook and cranny of the land. Every rosebush was peered into for signs of the woman's passing, be it footprint or a scrap of blue cloth from her described dress. Haystacks in the stable were prodded with the pommels of swords. A large portion of the forest surrounding the castle was also checked thoroughly.
After several hours, the report finally came in to the Guard Captain. Lady Alexi Dunmir was no where to be found. Growling, he wrote up a full report to be sent to the King, then ordered all of the Lady's things to be gathered and locked in storage. Finally he told his posted men to keep a lookout for the dark haired woman, if she were spotted, she was to be apprehended and placed in the confinement area until further orders were given.
