To Her Majesty, King Ulrika Kergard,

I had meant to write you sooner, to send my regards and inquire of your trip home, but castle life has been rather hectic since your departure.

I am unsure if word has reached you yet, but tragedy has struck the Kingdom. My husband, Ilgnuit, has perished. Which, is part of the reason for this letter.

I feel I can be frank with you, as we were during your visit. I desperately desire to leave Nharati for a short while. I write to ask if your offer still stands? I have been offered, by my sister, to visit Leugeilean or perhaps Geldenland, but it does not appeal to me to visit with strangers in a strange land. I would very much like to be in the company of a friend, and to see the colored skies of Nyrthlond, if you will have me at such short notice.

I have already spoken to King Valenti through a letter and he has assured me his blessing. I do hope to hear from you soon!

Princess Synaria,

Please allow me to offer my condolences on the loss of your husband. It must be quite a trying time, and I would be a poor friend to deny you whatever solace I may offer at present.

Nyrthlond would be most honoured by a visit from you, and I shall prepare my finest rooms for your leisure. My personal ship will await you in Rugii at the port of Hygeraed, which is only a short land journey from Nharati. Such a visit would do well to cement the relationships of our fine lands, and I shall await your visit impatiently.
